F2 on a Monogram oven is an over-temperature fault: the GE-platform control saw the cavity climb past its safe ceiling and cut power to protect the oven. On a ZTD wall oven or a ZGP Professional range it most often trips during self-clean or when a relay will not stop calling for heat.
An oven should stop heating at the setpoint. When it keeps climbing, either the RTD sensor is under-reading and understating the temperature, or a bake relay has welded closed and keeps the element energized. The safety logic catches the runaway and trips F2.
We test the RTD sensor against its resistance curve and check whether the heat relay releases on command. A stuck relay gets the relay board; a low-reading sensor gets replaced. We confirm the oven holds its setpoint against a probe before closing the repair.

- Turn the oven off and let it cool fully.
- Note whether F2 appears in bake, broil, or self-clean.
- Avoid self-clean until the cause is found.
- Have the model and serial ready for the correct sensor or relay board.
